Tinker Time!

So lately I have been running an idea through my head in regards to what I believe Engineering is missing. I believe engineering should have a way to deconstruct finished engineering products into there parts. I dont know if Im the first to suggest it but the concept would make sense. An Engineer basically gets a schematic, which tells what parts and mats he needs to make the end product. After the engineer makes the parts and aquires the mats he needs, he then construct the end product. For example we will use Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer.

[Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer]

Khorium Bar (20)
Felsteel Stabilizer (4)
Hardened Adamantite Tube
Primal Fire (12)
Primal Air (12)
Primal Nether

All these parts and mats are needed to make the Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer so what the deconstruct ability does is allow engineers to brake down the finished product. The general guide line would be that only the parts would be salvageable. Right away we will take the Primals out because there not parts, there mats. An engineer did not make them so hypothetically we could say they were lost in the process of making the thing. We will also take away the Khorium bars because they would also be said to be lost in the process of making the Gun. We could make an arguement that the metals could be remelted back down into bars again but that more something a miner could do and not all engineers have mining as there second professions. So that leaves the Hardened Adamantite Tube and the Felsteel Stabilizer. It makes sense at least to me that when you take something apart that you would be able to still use some of the parts for something else and the rest of it goes right in the trash can. I really dont know how viable this is to put into place but I can always hope.
